Cashier - Festival Vendor Booth

Location: Various Festivals in Cache County, Utah

We are seeking a friendly, trustworthy, and patient Cashier to join us at vendor booths during festivals throughout Cache County, Utah. This role involves setup, customer service during the event, inventory assistance, and booth takedown.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up the vendor booth prior to festival start, typically beginning as early as 6:00 AM.

• Operate the Point of Sale terminal to process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.

• Handle cash and credit card transactions with honesty and attention to detail.

• Count back change and perform simple math operations as needed.

• Provide friendly, patient customer service, assisting customers in finding and purchasing items.

• Assist with inventory management during and after the festival.

• Help take down and pack up the booth at the end of the festival, working quickly when weather conditions require immediate cleanup.

Work Schedule:

The majority of festivals take place on Saturdays with some on Fridays. Festival days start early and can last up to 16 hours (6:00 AM to 10:00 PM).

Work Environment:

Summer and early fall festivals are held outdoors, while winter events take place indoors. Candidates should be prepared to stand for extended periods and work in various weather conditions, packing up promptly during weather changes.

Qualifications:

• No prior cashier or customer service experience required.

• Ability to safely lift up to 40 lbs.

• Comfortable operating Point of Sale terminals and handling cash and credit transactions.

• Strong attention to detail, patience, and trustworthiness.

• Ability to stay focused and refrain from personal phone use while manning the booth except in emergencies.
