Position Overview

The responsibility of the Scan Specialist is to download IOS (intra-oral scans) files from

third-party online platforms. They are also tasked with evaluating the quality of scans and

ensuring that order forms have complete information. Once the scans are accepted,

the Scan Specialist enters the cases into our CAD and LMS platforms for production.

Additionally, they clean and edit scans using CAD design software as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pull IOS cases from various digital platforms and centralize them into our lab management software.

• Follow standard operating procedures to scan in physical models into a digital CAD software.

• Must be able to manipulate files and data to properly route files into production.

Requirements

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Proficient computer and typing skills

• Excellent communication—verbal and written

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Dental or dental lab experience is a plus but not required
